Online Content Strategy

Blog management

For Citrix User Group Community (CUGC), Stephanie manages online blog content provided by internationally-based contributors writing about a variety of topics from high-level technical articles to events coverage and everything in-between. As part of the team that grew the user group from 2,000 to over 24,000 members in the first three years, Stephanie cultivated relationships with recognized experts in the field to boost blog engagement across the membership. Today, the site has a regular cadence of expert-level contributions, as well as a growing collection of blog posts from throughout the community. To maintain quality in blog and overall online content, Stephanie heads up a Content Working Group made up of expert-level community members who help identify technology trends relevant to the membership.

Webinars

Management & hosting

For the same user group, Stephanie also grew the sponsored and user-generated webinar program, sourcing content from expert-level international speakers. The challenge was to bring quality, technical content from both sponsored and non-sponsored sources that served the needs of user group members and sponsors alike. She currently hosts an average of one webinar per week, with global audiences tuning in for technical presentations and demos, ask-me-anything panel discussions, and new product releases.

Social Media

Fostering community across platforms

Stephanie was also tasked with growing the Twitter and LinkedIn audiences and engagement for CUGC. Part of the challenge lie in the fact that a large portion of the membership did not regularly use Twitter, so the campaign not only included attracting more Twitter followers in general, but also strengthening the Twitter culture within the existing membership. She developed a content and posting strategy that attracted more followers and interaction across the global community, building engagement among a broader range of community members. She has also worked with other technology user group communities, providing copy and graphics content for special social media campaigns, such as membership drives and awareness.
